Josh Morgan reached out to me back in August and mentioned that Grant Horvat and and the Bryan Brothers we’re looking for some cool golf tools to be featured in an upcoming episode of the YouTube series, Major Cut. In the series, the guys replay majors at various golf clubs to see if they would make the cut. In this episode (#6) the boys play at Chambers Bay, which was the site of the 2015 U.S. Open. Leading up to the event, I had a couple of phone calls with Josh to talk about what would be optimal golf items fitting the project. We decided to go with divot tools that resembled a pair of scissors and copper ball...

Showcase Golf Swag with This 3D Printed Putter Display

Today, I created a custom 3D-printed display case in the shape of my Born Blade Putter. It took 15 hours of print time, inclusive of five different files and 12 unique parts. In the prototype, I used silver silk filament for the majority of the putter body and green silk filament for several accent pieces. Additionally, I used white basic PLA for items like text that were inlaid in some of the cavities. Now, why did I create this display, especially considering it requires 15 hours of print time? Simply put, it’s freaking cool—talk about the ultimate conversation piece for your man cave, office desk, or wherever you display your luxury golf swag. The other fascinating aspect of this display...

Working on a new golf ball marker to celebrate Cinco de Mayo 2024!

I have not done a Kraken Golf logo shaped ball marker for some time. So I decided to go with brass, add a sugar skull engraving and hammer both sides for a more handmade feel to the ball marker. Each is machined from pure naval brass, engraved and hand finished on the grinder. The machining time for these is extensive taking a 0.01" pass around each time milling each marker out of 0.125" stock on my Hass CM-1 cnc mill. I use a Lasertech laser engraver, specifically the Cobalt IV to etch each golf ball marker with the sugar skull engraving. This golf ball marker will be released in The Den on Sunday 5/5/2024 at 9am ET.
