Josh Morgan reached out to me back in August and mentioned that Grant Horvat and and the Bryan Brothers we’re looking for some cool golf tools to be featured in an upcoming episode of the YouTube series, Major Cut. In the series, the guys replay majors at various golf clubs to see if they would make the cut. In this episode (#6) the boys play at Chambers Bay, which was the site of the 2015 U.S. Open.

Leading up to the event, I had a couple of phone calls with Josh to talk about what would be optimal golf items fitting the project. We decided to go with divot tools that resembled a pair of scissors and copper ball markers with leather in lays featuring the logo from the YouTube series. Each item had the initials for the golfers for the personalizing each item to them. I spent some time hammering each copper ball marker on the edges to add some additional nuance to each piece. The scissor divot tools were crafted out of brass and feature a faux damascus pattern on the handles. 

In addition, I also crafted fred leather tool holders featuring Kraken‘s newest mascot Scully. Scully was hand painted onto each leather holder, which was constructed out of high-end veg, tan leather, and the colors of black and red of course, if you have high-end tools, you wanna be able to protect them in your golf bag and that’s exactly what the fred tool holder does.
